My Expertise

Ugari brings a strong combination of community leadership, governance experience and health sector knowledge to her work across Cape York and the Torres Strait. With Diplomas in Business and Governance, Primary Health Care Management, and Mental Health and Community Services, together with more than 15 years’ Board Director experience, Ugari has built a practical understanding of strong governance, culturally safe service delivery and community-led decision-making.


Her leadership is grounded in a deep commitment to strengthening organisations, supporting families and creating better outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Ugari’s experience across health, governance and community services allows her to support boards, teams and communities with practical insight, cultural understanding and a strong focus on lasting impact.

UNY Consultancy Cape York was established to address a clear and pressing need: remote Indigenous communities across Cape York Peninsula and Torres Strait deserve access to high-quality professional support - the kind that is cultural grounded, practically focused and built on genuine relationships.
